Carrying Mo' Forward

Today, we set out on a new journey.

No Mo’ Cancer (formerly Mo’ Pie U) is a newly launched 501(c)(3) public charity with a clear and hopeful purpose: to stand beside children who have lost a parent to cancer and help them reach their educational dreams. We do it by opening doors to education, lifting the financial weight these families carry, and nurturing the resilience and hope that turn hard beginnings into bright futures.

At the heart of it all is Mo’ — the friend whose spirit, generosity, and belief in young people inspired everything we’re building.

We’re just getting started, and we’d love for you to be part of it. Join us as we turn compassion into opportunity, one student at a time.

The journey begins now.

Our Mission

We lost our dear friend and colleague, Mo’, on March 5, 2021, after a valiant fight with cancer. Mo Pie U was created in his honor, with a mission to provide tuition assistance to kids who have lost a parent to cancer. Now, five and a half years, 5,000 pies, and $50,000 in scholarships later, it’s time for a new journey to begin. What started as a tribute to Mo’s legacy will always have Mo at its heart.

We are honored and humbled to announce the launch of No Mo’ Cancer, a 501(c)(3) public charity that continues that mission by:

  • Ensuring access to education
  • Alleviating financial burden
  • Fostering resilience and hope

We understand the immense challenges these young individuals face — not only emotionally but financially — and we hope to ease their burden so they can succeed academically and beyond. Let the journey begin.

Not at college level yet?

Although No Mo’ Cancer’s scholarships are only for post-high school education, we believe in supporting education at every stage of a child’s journey. Follow the link to find our curated list of resources and assistance outside of our college tuition assistance.
